Welcome to the offerings of Apple Aniseed Arts.

Whether you are someone looking to discover peace through your sensitivities, or someone who would like to understand a loved ones sensitivities, I have come to trust that high sensitivity is a Higher Potential of the Self. It’s a way to come to the feeling and knowing of wholeness and balance. In discovering the beauty of sensitivity, we can arrive at an orientation towards creative health.

Through the arts-based work, one can utilise the self-care tools to steadily discern the strengths inherent in the sensitivity which can help our relationships and our individuality to thrive.

What makes a person highly sensitive depends on a variety of factors such as evolution, environment, and developmental experiences.

  • Sensitivity can be defined as the ability to perceive, process, and respond deeply to ones self and ones environment.

  • Being sensitive and insensitive are possibilities between which you may discover a feeling of arriving at ones self.

  • The word "responsive" in one senses rather than overwhelmed or stuck, may also describe the value of sensitivity in balance.

Sensitivity can be defined as the ability to perceive, process, and respond deeply to one’s environment.

This ability happens at two levels: (1) perceiving information from the senses and (2) thinking about that information thoroughly or finding many connections between it and other memories, knowledge, or ideas.

Sensitivity is a normal part of Life. All human beings, animals, and plants are sensitive to their environment to some degree. Sensitive people may take in more information from their environment, process it more deeply, and are ultimately shaped by it. Much of this deep processing happens unconsciously, and many sensitive people aren’t even aware that they do it. This process applies to everything a sensitive person takes in. So how do we find ground in the sensory impressions that may come towards us, in our sensitivity?

Through my workshops and courses a pictorial thinking for coming to ones self means that we can pay attention to what is going on within us and around us. The arts processes and movements invite an active and engaged approach to the world, where one may discover moments of peace.

“If we try either through sculpture, painting, or drama — indeed, through any art — to portray a human being,

we endeavour to create a figure that is sufficient and complete in itself — one that contains a whole world”. Rudolf Steiner
