This art piece happened on Christmas Day, for the upcoming Leo month.

The black outlines came from two sources:
1. observing a hyacinth plant sprouting and flowering over the Holy Nights.
2. a digital photo of one view of a walking trail around Rubislaw stream between two roads with individual houses.

The scene and motif are from my intuitive thoughts and perceptions (that steadily clarify through Rudolf Steiner’s soul initiation indications).

Of my 13 day process, I can see that the task is to reduce my connection with the sensory side of life and come home to myself - between the dualities that are the Spiritual Life and Material Life here.

Further clarity of thought (by transforming the conditioned forms), have started to flow through my heart. Onwards to carrying out Karma exercises now!

The project was for stART International’s work to raise funds for continuing their provision of emergency therapeutic pedagogical support to adults and children around the world. This year the theme was “Beyond”, which invited participants to explore the ‘other side’. To take an interest in something we might usually deny, avoid, or shy away from encountering. The transparent tracing paper became my intention to see both sides of the story. The square shape represented the symbol of the Earth - Home.

The scenes may be related to the upcoming months of soul movement. I will see if they reflect the cross-form of Karl Koenig’s Calendar of the Soul series and the movements in Karin Jarman’s Calendar of the Soul series. 🎨

Many back gardens lead into the quiet restful central space. I will use the photos of my walk, for an arts process to reconnect to my hearts flowing stream.

🌌 For this years Holy Nights arts process, I will be using transparent tracing paper squares cut 20cm x 20cm, with thin and thick coloured crayons.
I will randomly flip the paper over and over, and make marks to ensure beauty on both sides. The project is being run by stART international who supports families and children in emergency places around the world. 🥀
This years “Beyond” theme is about the importance of consciously recognising the beauty of both sides through our thinking-feeling and willing bodies; rather than taking sides in unconscious conflicts.
Aim: to keep an openness and wonder alive, on the effort to appreciate the uncomfortable gift and beauty in the human struggle. 🤱🏾

For my test day on Christmas Eve, I observed a sprouting hyacinth plant with three stems and made lines to the tracing paper; added colours and made a few meanings of the motif found. The inclusion of growth (Time) felt vital for me to include.
For Christmas Day, my Nature source also included lines from photos taken of a local nature scene of interest to me. (Space)

The observations found me today during a walk to find a stream near where I now live.
The stream flows between a circular pathway. The pathway and stream is accessible only to the residents of the surrounding streets, from their personal back garden space. An imagination of the land inspired me to take up the name and layout as a way to reconnect to the water and blood that flows within the borders of my physical skin and etheric body. ❤️‍🔥🖤✝️🌌💎

Dreams and day encounters and thoughts, offer new insights, revelations, and questions. 🕯

I have started to observe parts of the Rose Cross Garden at Camphill, Aberdeen. This line work is an expression of what I see, guided by the angelic hierarchies who have been support human evolution for a long time - until now, when humanity is being left increasingly free to self-regulate.

Through this work, forms will be found and meaning will be made that may offer inner transformation. It is my offering to the divine who weaves through all Life.
She is recognised when we learn to re-orientate ourselves towards inner change through adjustments in our Thinking; from the intellectual soul to the consciousness soul.

Autumn is the season for all things decaying and dying. The trees let go of their abundance of colourful leaves. The sunsets can be weighty with warm fiery colours, and darker clouds inviting us to turn inwards to the Light within. 🪔

There is an invitation, to effect a Seed Dispersal process, consciously and with trustful intention, wonder, and reverence.

🤢😱🤯😤😅🥲🥹😔😢😭🤮🫠😮‍💨😇

Inspired by a conversation on my birthday this week, I chose to paint the seed carriers of an Arnica plant, from a photograph.

In this Transpersonal artwork many aspects were inwardly transformed through the path of Thinking, Feeling and Willing (with indications given by Rudolf Steiner and his contemporaries). Maybe it worked hygienically because there’s a Bridge between the two - in the fiery ‘hair’.

New potential for clarity and courage have been revealed - to face Winter.

Days later, I watched this Astrosophy video update, and it seems to fit to the inspiration that came towards me through my colleague (It's how and where Angels work within and through us, and need us to participate in our soul purification work)

This year, I decided to accept my friends invitation to join our Camphill buddies to participate in Diwali!
This we did, by attending an Indian cultural performances evening with children and adults performing traditional and contemporary dances from around the world. This was followed by an outdoor fireworks display, and some DJ music to dance out my old Bollywood-Bhangra-Garba moves! 😅 I still got it! 💃🏾👯🕺🏽

Though it was a fun and a many-peopled event, with colourful outfits to admire, I couldn’t help but keep the ear plugs in! Sound that is mechanised, is no longer music for me.

The rice and curry won the day! 😋

Next year, I hope to create a quieter event for explorations of “Diwali” with oral biographical story-sharing, candle-lighting, interactive art-making activities around the epic archetypal healing story “Ramayana”, antakshadi singing games, and Eurhythmy to Tagore poems.

They are one of many reasons I said Yes to moving up here from London. 🎨🌅🌈💐

Seeing the rainbow today felt like a beautiful blessing from the spiritual world. 🕊
I had just facilitated a little death-anniversary memorial for the Cottage House, who lost their house mother last year - a wise elder who had dedicated many years to the children and colleagues, despite ‘health’ fluctuations. 🪴

And as much as I appreciate digital technology, it can never reflect the grandeur of real life observations and its effect in the human soul and all Life on Earth! In reality, my eyes could take in every single colour band of the spectrum. 🎨♾️🤱🏾

Work from two weeks ago. 🎨
Transpersonal watercolour work from a charcoal triptych scene of a night I could not recall. So decades later, I asked the One who knows what had happened and may tell me, (now that further soul purification has come through, thanks to Anthroposophy). This balancing work inspired a knot of darkness to free itself at night. I awoke with a feeling of restfulness and could breathe deeper.

I went on to ask what is the man in the heart of the holy man looking at? A watercolour of a woman on a train came up. She was looking across to a family of father, mother, child. Meaning-making is in progress.

🙏🏾 Today, hand on heart, I can say that there is a God and that Jesus is the son of God. And working my Life in a threefold way is proving to be health-giving, particularly for this time of evolution when many are steadily becoming aware of ourselves as a fourfold human being. I was in such a state of disarray before I discovered that my soul was desperate for a way to make meaning of my life, and Anthroposophical therapies and remedies gave me the space to get to know my Higher I, in freedom.

So began deeper work to self-forgive my behaviours, choices, and actions of my past (when I did not know of God as a felt experience). I was going around speaking of ‘God’, attending temples and churches, and saying ‘Spiritual’ at ‘conscious’ events. It took facing my self to overcome my materialistic thinking. I was so angry about the grief of distance from the spiritual world that I went about blaming everyone I could see, for all sorts of inner fluctuations inspired by injustices. It was in my destiny to have been listened to by someone who had worked to know the Light of Peace within, which inspired the longing to find it for myself. 🌬💨🕊

I was in such a state of disarray before I discovered that my soul was desperate for a way to make meaning of my life, and Anthroposophical therapies and remedies gave me the space to get to know my Higher I, in freedom.

So began deeper work to self-forgive my behaviours, choices, and actions of my past (when I did not know of God as a felt experience). I was going around speaking of ‘God’, attending temples and churches, and saying ‘Spiritual’ at ‘conscious’ events. It took facing my self to overcome my materialistic thinking. I was so angry about the grief of distance from the spiritual world that I went about blaming everyone I could see, for all sorts of inner fluctuations inspired by injustices. It was in my destiny to have been listened to by someone who had worked to know the Light of Peace within, which inspired the longing to find it for myself. 🌬💨🕊

Thank you Anthroposophical Art Therapies Association for a wonderful conference on querying Rudolf Steiner’s lecture on Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.

We worked with the Russian fairytale “Vasilisa the Beautiful” to relate to the etheric body that carries our pre-earthly intentions and karmic tasks. 🪴

We made clay dolls and took time to listen to our intuitions from our inner dialogue with them.

We painted with plant colours and watercolours to query two words that found us, of someone else’s sense of their ‘Beauty’ and ‘Ugly’. 🎭

We did full-bodies Eurhythmy movement feeling with the zodiac and angelic hierarchies, as they help human beings to evolve.

We did Speech work with poetic words to the hexameter rhythm.

We went for a walk together to appreciate the natural creative spaces of Ruskin Mill, Stroud.

⭕️ Our Philosophy of Freedom group have been feeling into the life cycle of a plant that is living, blossoming, becoming, and dying, letting go.

These last few weeks, the poppy plant has been calling to my intuition the most. It’s flaming red and black petals flower feels so much like me!
It’s amazing to see that so much red can come from such a little green pod with three equal parts for protection until time. The flower stem grows thick and sturdy, out of a busy and strong leafy root system. The leaves rise up out of the chaotic root region, that look foreboding to me! ❤️‍🔥🐉
The defiant courage with which it stands even after being left bare naked in the elements, is a magnificent thing to behold. Somehow that centre remains unchanged.

I’m fascinated by the history of poppy, and it’s link to Opium, and it’s inclusion in fairytales too.
Biographically, I carry questions around the many nuances of my meaning as “poisons” in my life - so Opium may be a worthy imagination to work with.

Perceiving how my soul responds to its life phases, invites me to transform myself; feel myself; know myself as a life process - never complete; always evolving.
Something of an ability to stand in my truth is steadily arriving.
Something is also changing of my outer relationships, as I embrace the death phase willingly and with wonder and humility. 🌌

Thank you team for facilitating and hand-holding so many through change in self-enquiry; in freedom - for Love. ♻️
